We always look forward to fresh Rwandan coffees and the new lot from the Agasaro women’s group is stellar. On the lighter end of the spectrum this coffee has a juicy body, layers of sweetness and a subtle acidity with notes of mango, cane sugar, vanilla, and rhubarb. Darker roasts of the Agasaro dazzle with a pronounced, syrupy body and notes of dark chocolate, ripe plum, molasses and date. Lighter roast styles shine as a complex and sweet pour over or batch brew. Roasts with more development are excellent as a thick, rich espresso with a deep sweetness reminiscent of fruit leather and bittersweet chocolate.
